FC Barcelona's 2013/14 kits were presented at the Generalitat de Catalunya

The FC Barcelona delegation was led by Sandro Rosell, who said: "We want to be part of the 1714 300-year anniversary, which is next year"

The Club presented the 2013/14 FC Barcelona kits this Thursday afternoon at the Palau de la Generalitat. The President of Catalunya, Artur Mas, was presented with both the home and away kits during the event. He received the gift with the following words:

“Once in a while there are things that make your life longs and this is one of them. The fact that an important Club like Barça have made this decision fills us with pride, we like it a lot and it makes us give thanks from the bottom of our hearts. This is an act of service for the country. The essence of Barça is sport, the city and the country. They are a great ambassador”

The FC Barcelona delegation was led by President Sandro Rosell, vice-presidents Carles Villarrubí and Javier Faus, the directors Toni Freixa, Jordi Monés, Pilar Guinovart, Jordi Mestre, Silvio Elías and Josep Ramon Vidal-Abarca and the sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta.

During the ceremony, Rosell declared: “seeing that the away kit has four stripes [the senyera] we wanted to offer it up to the Govern of our country and to President Artur Mas.” He continued:“The first uniform is more classic and the second, for the first time, will carry the flag of our country, the senyera. We aren’t the first, but we want to be part of the 1714 300-year anniversary, which is next year.” The FC Barcelona president also said that he’s pleased with how well the new kits have been received.
